Gut bugs vs. fatty liver: can a probiotic pill help?

NCT ID NCT07400367

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific blend of probiotic bacteria can help people with fatty liver disease when taken alongside recommended diet and exercise changes. Researchers will enroll 80 adults with fatty liver and related metabolic issues to see if the supplement reduces liver fat and scarring, and improves cholesterol and blood sugar levels over 12 weeks. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug option to help control this common condition.
