First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether a daily probiotic (Lactobacillus rhamnosus Lcr35) can reduce the number of painful canker sores in people who get them often. Twenty adults with recurrent mouth ulcers took either the probiotic or a placebo for 3 months, then were monitored for another 3 months. The main goal was to see if the probiotic lowered the number of sores compared to placebo.
