Gut bacteria tested to tame digestive distress

NCT ID NCT06609148

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific blend of probiotic bacteria can help control bile acid levels in people with bile acid diarrhea. Researchers will compare the probiotic against a placebo (inactive pill) in 24 participants who have been diagnosed with this condition. The main goal is to see if the probiotic reduces bile acids in stool, which could improve diarrhea and gut health.
