First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This observational study looks at whether eating a diet that causes inflammation can make gum disease worse in people with metabolic syndrome. About 100 adults with metabolic syndrome will have their gum health checked and their diet analyzed using a special inflammation score. The goal is to understand the link between diet, body-wide inflammation, and gum destruction.
