First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests two simple nursing methods—a cold pack on the lower belly or a gentle massage on the lower back—to see if they can prevent trouble emptying the bladder after surgery with spinal anesthesia. About 105 adults having certain surgeries will take part. The goal is to find an easy, drug-free way to avoid needing a urinary catheter.
