Can coaching break the link between childhood trauma and teen drug use?
NCT ID NCT06821035
Summary
This study is testing a coaching program called GRIT, designed to help teens who have experienced significant childhood stress. The goal is to teach them and their families better coping and self-regulation skills to prevent the early start of regular alcohol or cannabis use. Researchers will compare the GRIT program to a digital safety course in 210 teens aged 11-14 who have not yet started using substances regularly.
