New study aims to stop sexual side effects before they start in breast cancer patients

Summary
This study looks at whether starting sexual health counseling and using a non-hormonal moisturizer early can prevent or reduce vaginal dryness and sexual problems in premenopausal women with breast cancer who are receiving ovarian suppression. About 50 women will take part and be compared to those who receive the usual care, which treats side effects only after they appear. All participants will fill out surveys about their sexual health to help researchers learn more.
