NCT ID NCT02913495
First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested two types of progesterone—vaginal gel and intramuscular shots—to see which works better at preventing another preterm birth in women who have already had one. About 210 pregnant women with a single baby and a history of early delivery took part. The goal was to find out if the vaginal form is more effective than the shot at helping women carry to full term.
