First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether teaching women self-massage and stretching exercises before and after breast cancer surgery could prevent chronic pain. 143 women participated, with half receiving standard care and half also attending workshops on self-massage and stretching. The goal was to see if these simple daily practices could reduce the number of women who develop long-term pain after surgery.
