Summary

This study tests a light therapy device (like a lollipop) placed inside the mouth to prevent severe mouth sores in patients receiving a stem cell transplant. The sores are a common and painful side effect of the transplant conditioning. Twenty adults will receive daily light treatments starting before their transplant. The goal is to see if this approach can shorten the duration of severe mouth sores.
