Summary

This study looked at whether adding physical therapy to education helps prevent lymphedema (arm swelling) in women treated for breast cancer. Women with stage I to III breast cancer who had lymph nodes removed from their armpit took part. The goal was to see if a personalized physical therapy program plus education works better than education alone to keep the arm from swelling.
