Smart monitor aims to stop dangerous blood pressure drops after surgery
NCT ID NCT07097454
Summary
This study tested whether a special monitor could help prevent low blood pressure in patients waking up from surgery. The monitor predicts when blood pressure might drop, allowing nurses to give fluids or medications early. Researchers compared patients using this smart monitor to those receiving standard recovery room care to see if it reduced episodes of low blood pressure.
