Vacuum device could stop dangerous leaks after colon surgery
NCT ID NCT07208786
Summary
This study tests whether placing a special vacuum device after colon cancer surgery can prevent dangerous leaks where the intestine is reconnected. Researchers will compare this new approach to standard care in 110 patients to see if it reduces leaks, complications, and recovery time. The goal is to find a better way to help patients heal safely after their cancer operation.
