First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether the drug GDC-8264 could prevent acute kidney injury and serious kidney problems in people having heart surgery. About 67 participants at moderate to high risk were enrolled, but the trial was stopped early. The goal was to see if the drug worked better than a placebo at protecting kidney function after surgery.
