New study aims to stop partner violence before it starts

Summary

This study tests a program called GBE (Ghya Bharaari Ekatra) designed to prevent intimate partner violence (IPV) in newly married couples. Researchers will enroll 1,700 couples living in slums in Mumbai and Pune, India, who have been married for one year or less. The goal is to see if the program reduces IPV and improves mental health and reproductive choices.
