Can chitosan cream outshine silicone and olive oil in scar prevention?

Summary
This study tests whether chitosan cream can prevent raised scars (hypertrophic scars) better than silicone gel or olive oil. 120 adults with fresh surgical or traumatic scars will apply their assigned treatment twice daily for 8 weeks. Doctors will assess scar appearance at 4, 12, and 24 weeks using standard scales.
