NCT ID NCT07269093
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests three different creams—chitosan, silicone gel, and olive oil—to see which works best at preventing raised scars (hypertrophic scars) after stitches heal. About 120 adults with fresh scars will apply their assigned cream twice daily for 8 weeks. Doctors will check their scars at 4, 12, and 24 weeks using special rating scales.
