Foot care classes keep diabetic ulcers at bay
NCT ID NCT07329491
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether a structured educational program could help people with diabetes avoid foot ulcers. 42 adults with diabetes took part; half attended two specialist-led sessions on foot care, while the other half received standard care. The education group showed better knowledge, self-care habits, and skin condition, and no one developed a foot ulcer during the six-month follow-up. Larger studies are needed to confirm long-term benefits.
