New nerve block technique could stop chronic pain after lung surgery

NCT ID NCT07436806

Summary

This study compares two different nerve-blocking techniques to prevent chronic pain after minimally invasive chest surgery. Researchers want to see if a newer ultrasound-guided nerve block works better than the standard surgical nerve block at reducing long-term pain. The study will follow 40 patients having lung surgery to measure their pain levels and medication use for up to a year after their procedure.
