Finding the right dose: protecting new moms from dangerous clots

NCT ID NCT07342127

Summary

This study aims to find the best length of time to give blood-thinning medication to new mothers who have a specific genetic trait that increases their risk of developing dangerous blood clots after giving birth. Researchers will look back at the medical records of 100 women with this trait to see how long they were treated and then compare whether a shorter treatment (less than 2 weeks) or a longer one (6 weeks) is better at preventing clots while causing fewer side effects.
