Can a phone app and therapy stop bipolar disorder before it starts?

NCT ID NCT04815239

Summary

This study is testing whether a special therapy delivered by video call can help prevent bipolar disorder in teenagers who have a parent with the condition and are at high risk. Researchers will compare two different online programs—one focused on stabilizing daily routines and sleep, and another on general healthy habits—to see which is better at reducing early warning signs over 18 months. The goal is to delay or prevent the onset of this serious mental health condition in vulnerable youth.
