Summary
This study looked at 201 very premature babies born before 31 weeks to see if they received more red blood cell transfusions than recommended by 2014 guidelines. The goal was to understand why extra transfusions happen and how to reduce risks like digestive, eye, lung, and brain problems. The research reviewed hospital records from July 2022 to July 2024.
