Preterm kids' hidden health risk revealed in new study
NCT ID NCT04945369
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study follows children who were born very early (before 35 weeks) and are now 8 to 14 years old. Researchers want to see if these children have early signs of insulin resistance, which can lead to diabetes later in life. They will measure body fat, blood sugar, kidney function, and eating habits. The goal is to understand how being born early affects long-term health.
