NCT ID NCT06919614

First seen Jun 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026

Summary

This study in Botswana tests whether offering sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing alongside HIV prevention pills (PrEP) helps more pregnant women start and continue using PrEP. About 600 pregnant women without HIV will be randomly assigned to either standard care or STI testing during pregnancy and after birth. The goal is to see if integrated STI testing improves PrEP use and reduces infections.
