This study involved 13 transgender women to see if taking feminizing hormones changes how well Truvada (PrEP) works to prevent HIV. Participants took Truvada alone and then with different doses of estrogen. Researchers measured drug levels in blood, cells, and colon tissue to understand any interactions.
