First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at two different ways to give oxygen to healthy volunteers before anesthesia: one using a mask and a machine that helps breathing, and the other adding high-flow oxygen through the nose. The goal was to see which method raises oxygen levels faster and higher. Thirty healthy adults took part, and researchers measured oxygen in their breath and blood every 12 seconds for three minutes.
