Study identifies clues to predict ICU need in kids after surgery

This study looked at 326 children who had surgery to find out which factors before the operation might predict whether they would need intensive care within 72 hours. The goal was to help doctors better identify high-risk children and plan their care. The study is now complete and focused on gathering knowledge, not testing a new treatment.
