Two weeks of walking and breathing before lung surgery may cut pain and hospital stay
NCT ID NCT07401056
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a two-week program of walking and breathing exercises before surgery for non-small cell lung cancer can help reduce pain, speed up recovery, shorten hospital stays, and improve quality of life. About 62 adults scheduled for surgery will be split into two groups: one doing the exercises and one receiving standard care. The goal is to see if preparing the body before surgery leads to better outcomes afterward.
