Pre-Surgery prep aims to ease pain for breast cancer patients
NCT ID NCT07418060
Summary
This study is testing if a special pre-surgery program can help reduce shoulder pain and improve movement after breast reconstruction. The program combines physical therapy with a gentle tissue massage technique called mechanostimulation. Researchers will compare patients who receive this 'prehabilitation' before their surgery to those who receive standard care. The goal is to improve recovery and quality of life for women undergoing a specific type of reconstruction using back muscle (latissimus dorsi flap).
