Can a workout before surgery speed recovery for frail patients?
NCT ID NCT05977556
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a 12-week exercise and activity program before elective surgery can help older adults who are frail. The program combines strength training with advice to reduce sitting time, aiming to improve patients' strength and fitness so they can recover from surgery faster with fewer complications. The study will compare 50 participants who either receive this special pre-surgery program or standard care.
