Summary

This study looked at whether doing heavy leg exercises for 4 weeks before having one knee immobilized for 7-10 days could prevent muscle loss. 48 healthy younger and older adults took part. Half did the pre-exercise, half did not. The goal was to see if prehab protects muscle size and strength during immobilization.
