First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a hormone called pregnenolone can improve mental health, thinking, and pain in veterans who had a mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) while serving after 9/11. About 108 veterans will take either pregnenolone or a placebo daily for 8 weeks. Researchers will check if symptoms get better and look for side effects.
