Summary

This Yale University study is testing whether pregnenolone, a natural hormone supplement, can help people with alcohol use disorder reduce heavy drinking. 150 participants will take either pregnenolone or a placebo pill twice daily for 12 weeks while receiving counseling support. Researchers will measure changes in drinking patterns, cravings, and overall well-being to see if the supplement is safe and effective.
