Could pregnancy trigger rejection in transplanted lungs?

NCT ID NCT05689905

Summary

This study looked at whether pregnancy increases the risk of organ rejection in women who have received lung transplants. Researchers examined 11 cases where women with lung transplants had pregnancies between 2012 and 2021. They compared immune markers from the lung donor, mother, and child to understand if shared markers might trigger rejection.
