Can a digital nudge boost food aid for Moms-to-Be?
NCT ID NCT06311799
Summary
This study tested whether helping pregnant women sign up for a government food program (WIC) online, and offering talks with a dietitian, would get more people to use these services. Researchers worked with 240 pregnant women receiving care at Geisinger clinics, dividing them into four groups that received different combinations of WIC information, online referrals, and dietitian counseling. The goal was to see which approach best connected women to food benefits and health advice during pregnancy.
