Scientists hunt for early warning signs of dangerous pregnancy complication
NCT ID NCT06232668
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study aims to find early molecular clues in pregnancy tissue that could predict preeclampsia, a serious condition affecting mothers and babies. Researchers will collect small tissue samples from over 2,000 women between weeks 9 and 15 of pregnancy. By comparing samples from women who later develop preeclampsia with those who don't, they hope to identify warning signs that could lead to better screening and prevention.
