Scientists probe hidden immune triggers of dangerous pregnancy complication

NCT ID NCT05470712

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a specific type of white blood cell behaves differently in healthy pregnancies compared to those with preeclampsia, a serious blood pressure condition. Researchers analyzed previously collected blood samples from 26 women to compare two different ways these cells can become activated. The goal was to gather basic knowledge to help identify new markers for the condition and guide future treatment research.
