Brain monitor could protect new moms from stroke risk

NCT ID NCT05726279

Summary

This study tested whether personalized blood pressure targets could better protect new mothers from brain injury after preeclampsia. Researchers used a special brain monitor to set individual blood pressure goals for 26 women in the hospital. The trial was stopped early, so results are limited, but it explored a new approach to preventing rare but serious postpartum complications.
