Brain scans may predict who benefits from pancreatitis procedure

NCT ID NCT06267365

First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether brain activity and pain sensitivity tests can predict how well someone with chronic pancreatitis will respond to endoscopic therapy. About 100 adults scheduled for the procedure will have EEGs, sensory tests, and questionnaires before treatment. Their pain levels will be tracked for up to 18 months after the procedure to see if certain baseline measures can forecast pain relief.
