Scientists hunt for warning signs before hearts suddenly stop
NCT ID NCT07444931
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to predict which patients with coronary artery disease are most likely to experience sudden cardiac arrest or death. Researchers will follow 1,500 patients for up to 15 years, collecting data on genetics, heart tests, and lifestyle factors to identify high-risk patterns. The goal is to create tools that can help doctors decide which patients might benefit most from preventive devices like defibrillators in future studies.
