Can doctors predict who gets heartburn after weight loss surgery?
NCT ID NCT04411823
Summary
This study aims to find out if doctors can predict which patients will develop new or worsening acid reflux after sleeve gastrectomy weight loss surgery. Researchers will use a special measurement tool during a routine pre-surgery scope test to take measurements of the stomach opening. They will follow patients for up to five years after surgery to see if these measurements can help forecast who might develop reflux problems.
