Researchers hunt for early warning signs of PTSD in ER patients
NCT ID NCT03615014
Summary
This study aimed to find early signs that predict who will develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after a recent traumatic event. Researchers followed 460 adults who visited the emergency room within a month of experiencing trauma, like a serious accident or violence. They used questionnaires to measure psychological, social, and biological factors to create a better model for identifying high-risk patients early.
