Hunting the early warning signs of a blood cancer
NCT ID NCT03689595
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people with early, symptom-free blood cell changes develop the cancer multiple myeloma, while others do not. It will follow 30,000 people who are at higher risk due to family history or race. The goal is to find markers that can predict who is most likely to progress, which could lead to better future monitoring and prevention strategies.
