New test could predict amputation risk after leg artery surgery

NCT ID NCT06014242

Summary

This study aimed to test if a new measurement of tiny blood vessel function could predict whether a patient's leg could be saved after a procedure to open blocked arteries. It focused on patients with severe leg artery disease who were at high risk of amputation. The goal was to see if this test could help doctors better identify which patients would heal successfully and which might still need an amputation.
