New test aims to predict deadly infections in vulnerable transplant patients

NCT ID NCT07379554

Summary

This study aims to develop a personalized immune score to predict which immunocompromised patients (like transplant recipients) are at highest risk for severe infections. Researchers will measure various immune cells and responses in 150 patients before or shortly after their transplant or chemotherapy. The goal is to create a tool that helps doctors monitor high-risk patients more closely and tailor their treatments to prevent serious infections.
