Mayo clinic hunts for blood clues to protect cancer Patients' hearts

NCT ID NCT06353191

Summary

This study aims to understand why some cancer patients develop heart problems after chemotherapy while others do not. Researchers will collect blood samples and review medical records from 1,000 patients who either experienced heart issues after treatment, are at high risk, or finished treatment without problems. The goal is to find biological markers that could one day help doctors predict and prevent this serious side effect.
