Researchers crack code on why families quit Kids' weight programs

NCT ID NCT04364282

Summary

This study aimed to understand and predict why families stop attending pediatric weight management programs, which have very high dropout rates. Researchers followed over 1,200 children and their parents in four different programs to identify factors linked to quitting treatment. The goal was to create a tool to help clinics identify families at risk of dropping out early, so they could provide extra support to keep them engaged.
