Eye scans may reveal best treatment for diabetic vision loss
NCT ID NCT02637245
Summary
This study aimed to find out if specific patterns seen on standard eye scans could predict how well a patient with diabetic macular edema (a common cause of vision loss in diabetes) would respond to treatment. Researchers observed 32 patients, analyzing their routine eye scan images to see if certain features were linked to better or worse outcomes with different therapies. The goal was to help doctors choose the most effective treatment for each patient sooner.
