Ultrasound vs. checklist: which better predicts airway trouble in obese surgery?
NCT ID NCT07316179
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to predict if placing a breathing tube will be difficult for obese patients undergoing weight-loss surgery. Researchers will compare a standard checklist (the El Ganzouri Risk Index) with neck ultrasound measurements taken before surgery. The goal is to improve patient safety by helping doctors better prepare for potential airway challenges.
