Can your walk predict brain surgery success?

NCT ID NCT07323602

Summary

This study aims to see if analyzing how a person walks before surgery can help predict how well Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) will work for their dystonia. Researchers will use wearable sensors to measure walking patterns in 50 patients scheduled for DBS surgery. They will then check if these walking patterns correlate with how much the surgery improves their symptoms and quality of life.
