Can your phone predict your pain? study aims to spot chronic pain risk before surgery
NCT ID NCT04864275
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people develop long-term pain after surgery while others recover without it. Researchers will follow 2,500 adults having major surgery, collecting information about their health, pain sensitivity, and daily experiences using smartphone surveys. The goal is to identify patterns that can predict who is at risk for persistent pain, which could help doctors provide better care before and after surgery.
